Dance Kaleidoscope – 1964 to Present
2024 is the 60th year of Dance Kaleidoscope. Dance Kaleidoscope was established as an educational charity in 1964 to provide pre-professional training for young dancers and others considering a career in the entertainment industry. Dance Kaleidoscope runs bi-Annual tours to venues all over Europe including: France, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Italy, Greece, Israel and also Florida, USA. Dance Kaleidoscope is invited to perform in the North East of England at festivals, concerts, charity events and theater productions.
Dance Kaleidoscope is totally self-funded. They receive no sponsorship and are not grant aided.

About Gillian Quinn
Gillian Quinn founded the North of England College of Dance of which she is the Principal. She was also the artistic director of Ballet Nomad as well as Dance Kaleidoscope Youth Dance Theatre.
Gillian became an international examiner for the R. A. D. in 1969. She is a member of the Royal Academy of Dance and holds a B.Phil. (Hons) Arts, a Diploma in Sports Psychology and the Advanced Teachers Diploma of the R.A.D.
She is a member of the IDTA and is a qualified dance teacher. Gillian was awarded an MBE[2][3] for services to Dance in December 2012.
Gillian trained with Nellie Potts, Audrey DeVos and also with Madam Preobrajenska in Paris. She danced professionally for eight years
